Terms of service
Last updated 14 July 2026
The short version: this is a members-only space for women, what you post stays yours, and the community guidelines are part of the deal. Here it is in full.
Who can join
Tendril is a social space for women, 18 and over. Trans women are women and are welcome here. By creating an account you confirm both of those things about yourself, truthfully.
New members join through community review or a member's invite. Either way, membership is a welcome extended by the community, and it can be withdrawn if these terms are broken.
Your account
You're responsible for your account and what happens with it. Keep your login to yourself, don't share or sell your account, and don't create accounts for other people. If you think your account has been compromised, email me right away.
Your content
What you post is yours. You keep every right to your words and images. By posting, you give tendril the permission it needs to store your content and show it to the members you've chosen to share it with. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies in backups that expire on their own schedule.
You're responsible for what you post: don't post what you don't have the right to share, and don't post anything illegal.
Invites and vouching
Members in good standing can invite people directly. An invite is a vouch: your name stays on it. Inviting someone who was excluded before, or farming invites, can cost you the ability to invite or your membership.
Moderation
Reports are reviewed by a moderator. Posts that break the guidelines can be hidden, and accounts can be frozen while something is reviewed or removed for serious or repeated harm. Freezing errs on the side of the community. If your account is frozen and you believe that's wrong, email me and I'll look at it personally.
The service
Tendril is a small, independent product run by one person. I'll do my best to keep it fast, safe, and available, but it's provided as-is, without warranties, and I can't promise uninterrupted service. To the fullest extent the law allows, tendril's liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid to use it (currently: nothing).
I may change or wind down features as the product evolves. If tendril ever shuts down, I'll give you notice and a way to export your content.
Leaving
You can delete your account at any time, which removes your profile and content from the service. I can also end an account that breaks these terms or the guidelines, as described under moderation.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, I'll tell members before it takes effect and update the date on this page. Continuing to use tendril after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, and any disputes will be handled in the courts located there.
Acceptable use
How members treat each other lives in the community guidelines. They're part of these terms. Privacy is covered by the privacy policy.
